There’s going to be big celebrations taking place throughout Mogán this Thursday 13th of June, as the fiesta of San Antonio de Padua or San Antonio del chico as it is known locally, comes to town.
A romeria or parade will wind its way through the pretty streets of Mogán during the afternoon, where you can expect to see the local villagers dressed in traditional costumes, folk bands and children performing traditional dance.
The festivities continue well into the night with live music and dancing, culminating in a firework display.
If you are holidaying in Gran Canaria during the fiesta of San Antonio you really must take the oppourtunity to check out Mogán during this fiesta – the atmosphere is electric and the spirit of the local people unforgetable!
