We all know how beautiful Anfi is but have you ever taken to the waters and seen Anfi at its most beautiful – from the sea?
The Lineas Salmon ferry company, which docks at Anfi, before taking passengers on a gentle sail to nearby Arguineguin, Puerto Rico and Puerto de Mogan, were one of the proud sponsors of the recent Anfi Regatta. We caught up with Javier Romero, whose father founded the company 43 years ago, to ask him all about the Lineas Salmon ferry service and what it offers both locals and tourists in Gran Canaria.
To date, Lineas Salmon operate six boats, five of which are glass bottomed and one of which is adapted for wheelchair-users. Javier explained to us that his company wanted to “offer something different – to allow passengers to see Anfi and the coastline, as well as the sea caves, from a different angle”.
He went on to say, “We keep our prices low and therefore attractive to our clients”. The cost of a trip from Anfi to Puerto Rico is only €10 return. We also run a dolphin trip for the same price where there’s a fifty percent chance of seeing dolphins and sometimes turtles and, more rarely, whales!”.
“People are generally very happy with our service and we have many repeat customers from Anfi. We provide a service that the whole family can enjoy”.
Blue skies, calm seas, stunning marine life and the very best of views of Anfi. What more could you ask for a perfect day out?
