This year’s Anfi Regatta was a great success; we caught up with two of the proud sponsors Pedro Vega of Navega and Juan José Correa, from Decotextil.
Navega is an established company in Gran Canaria dedicated to the maintenance of yachts. Their services include paint repairs, polishing, general and fibre repairs, electrical, plumbing and upholstery cleaning.
Pedro Vega, owner of the company Navega told us, “Taking care of a boat well is absolutely essential for its best performance”.
Vega continued, “The success of the Anfi Regatta is obvious, despite its short history, it has become a true classic amongst sailing events within Canary Islands. The race was a success, both in regards to organization and participation, which no doubt will be next year.”
Juan José Correa, owner of Decotextil a company specialising in interiors and upholstery acknowledges that as a company they “focus on design, quality and especially price, ensuring we are different and competitive.”
In regards to Anfi Correa continued, “Anfi is always improving and renovating, continuing as always, to be different from the rest – you always have to innovate in order to advance”.
“Decotextil are committed to innovative design and we recognize that you always have to improve within the industry in order to survive. Our customers are looking for something new, as they also want innovative and exciting options.”
Summer 2012 saw Anfi hold its first regatta and it was a great success. We thought we’d share last year’s video with you to whet your appetite and put a little sunshine into your day. We hope you enjoy it !
Over 24 yachts took part over the two-day event which took place in the bays of Anfi, Patalavaca and Playa del Cura.
The event saw Olympians Onán Barreiros and Aaron Sarmiento, yachtsmen from the 470 del Real Club Náutico of Gran Canaria, taking part.
The conditions were perfect and during the regatta the champions described Anfi del Mar as, “a paradise for sailing” saying that, “there isn’t any place in the world like this”.
