Carina Dahl the Hot Child stays at Anfi

04/01/2011 - Anfi is playing host to Scandinavian singer-songwriter Carina Dahl, who is taking time out of her busy schedule to recharge her batteries and soak up some of our fabulous Canarian sunshine.

Carina Dahl the Hot Child stays at Anfi

We caught up with Carina poolside at Anfi Beach Club, where she treated us to an impromptu photo shoot. Carina, originally from Norway, has recently released her debut album ‘HOT CHILD’ fusing pop and rock with a Country twang. Her music hints towards the likes of Taylor Swift and Sheryl Crow, two big influences on her song writing style.

Carina’s background is somewhat unique; she grew up in a town on the outskirts of Trondheim, Norway into a rather unconventional family. Her father, drummer Morten ‘Diesel’ Dahl, was a prolific member of local Hells Angel Motor Cycle Club, and founding member of one of Norway’s legendary hard rock bands ‘TNT’.

She spent much of her free time observing the rock-star lifestyle with her father, both on tour and at the recording studio. Carina remembers hanging out with legendary rockers such as Dee Snider, Mötley Crue, Alice Cooper, Smokie amongst others. Her colourful adolescence became a springboard for her own musical career, combined with her love of Patsy Cline, Tom Petty and the Dixie Chicks.

Carina Dahl is definitely one to look out for, she’s sassy, beautiful, talented and a natural performer. If you are holidaying with us here at Anfi at the moment keep your eyes peeled and you may be lucky enough to meet the lovely Carina in person!
